I recently heard from my friend who is visiting her family. She took, “Fables from the Magic Tunnel” book with her.
She started reading it to her six-year old great-granddaughter. To her surprise, the little girl became enchanted with the heroine’s story (Janelle) and my friend read the book to her every night. When they finished, the little girl wanted it read again.
When my friend departed to visit other family members, her son (the little girl’s grandfather) was to read a book to her before bedtime. When “Fables” was enthusiastically requested, his comment, “Are you sure you want to hear this again? Isn’t there another book we can read?” ‘NO!” was her unwavering answer.
You can read a chapter that introduces the heroine Janelle if you click here. Perhaps you will wish to read about her journey. How sweet and fulfilling to learn an enthusiastic fan of the book who thinks Janelle rocks! Thank you, Kimberly!
