“From what we get, we can make a living; what we give, however, makes a life.”
~ Arthur Ashe
This is not to say it is wrong to be busy, but more a comment is that we can get out of balance. All one sided, all-out… no time to do much else.
That being said. I wish to give an example of a friend named Robert.
He has created his life in balance, by setting boundaries, in saying no and this seems to take care of body, mind and spirit with grace and flow.
Robert can be very busy. With his work, he gives Webinars, teaches holistic, healthy nutrition and lifestyle classes through a local hospital, runs a household, maintains a beautiful garden and partnership. Whew!
He recently impressed the heck out of me, which prompted this blog and the need to share. He has a neighbor who has been under the weather and not able to maintain her house. Robert and partner went over last weekend and helped clean her house!
Now, if Robert has the discipline and ability to carve into his schedule to give back and serve another…we all have that ability.
If you need lessons, you can visit his website and blog for tidbits at: balancedweightmanagement.com/ and see what type of things he practices.
What a lovely way to live life!
