However, I definitely need practice. Case in point. After reading this email, I grabbed a cup of coffee and went out alone to my spot in the garage, where I have a comfortable chair that overlooks the forest. Birds sing, wind blows through the trees, all of which will bring you home to yourself.
As I am sitting taking this all in, I glance over to the van, and see that the back window has a very heavy layer of dust. I can fix that with my handy dandy window duster especially for cars. I jump up, grab the duster and proceed to clean the back window, side window, door, bumper and tail lights.
After I finish and pick up my now remaining cold coffee, I stopped abruptly and reality kicks in. Hey girl, this was supposed to be: “Live like someone left the gate open!” As you were really enjoying the moment totally. Talk about getting sidetracked... cleaning the damn van? Hello?"
As I said, we need to keep practicing until we can relax, allowing time spent just for ourselves! Be kind to yourself stop, and smell the roses or just coffee sounds good. Leave work behind the gate!
If anybody knows the photographer who took this, please let me know so, I can give credit due.
