“True progress is not measured by words, but by actions alone.”
Still recovering from a pulled back muscle, perhaps just strained. It seems to be recovering. That being said, just to perform regular daily chores like laundry, showering and such can be a challenge at times.
Today I washed and dried my most comfortable outfit and managed to dress. I decided to have a bowl of soup for lunch. It was quick and light. I fixed organic chicken broth, rice and chopped up the rest of last night’s baked chicken into pieces. Yummy!
I sit down at my desk to have lunch and in the process of bracing myself to get in the sitting position, WHAM! I somehow hit the bowl and it became airborne and fell overturned in my lap and onto the rug. Damn, I was soaked! I picked up the overturned bowl and managed to get up and waddle to the kitchen and then the bathroom/laundry room. I threw on a robe and put in another washing, so I could start all over by wearing what I intended.
I then prepared myself by getting supplies, towels, etc. to clean up the spilled soup. My last glance of the mess was rice strewn all over. I arrived at my desk to find the area completely cleaned up! Hmm, was it my fairy godmother or perhaps a divine miracle that took place? Nah, just my furry vacuum cleaner dog, “Zen the awesome”! He had scarfed up every morsel and licked up all the soup. I only had to wash the area with a cleaner. Well, color me happy!
After pondering the day events, I realized that my commitment to doing daily meditation and inner healing work, was indeed making PROGRESS!
Because when these events took place, I did not burst out with angry fowl language, get angry or upset! I was in the flow and did not react, as the former Sandra... would have totally lost it. I merely got up and did what was before me in a calm, peaceful manner. So there you go: Spilled soup=inner progress and healing.
Sending prayers and healing for those who lost a friend, co-worker, loved one... eleven years ago today.
